The color you choose for your dresser is just as important as the style you select. The wrong color dresser can totally throw off the look of your bedroom. For example, a bright red dresser would be the wrong choice for a bedroom with a classic, traditional theme and a neutral colored dresser would look all wrong in a modern, contemporary bedroom. Most dressers are available in wood stains like oak, cherry and mahogany. If you find yourself a little unsure about color a wood stain is probably the safest route to choose as they are the easiest to blend in with just about any style of room. No matter what color you choose make sure it's not overpowering the rest of the room.
Organizing you dresser can seem over whelming, but if broken down into steps, it is quite simple to accomplish. There is also the option of hiring a professional to do it. Either way, the goal is to keep the top of the dresser neat and tidy, rather than a "catch all" for clutter. The drawers should be arranged in a way that all articles of clothing are easily reached and can be seen at a glance. In addition, no drawer should be overstuffed. Not only is this a mess to shuffle through, it can cause structural damage to the drawer.
